Thankful for Perry NMM Board Member giving up his trailer for the summer for the Belade’s visit.
Having had the Belade’s visit us in Canada this summer was the highlight of our summer. We were blessed to have them stay with us at our home for almost 2 months. This trip gave us opportunity to spend quality time with them, grow closer in our relationship and learn more about each other and our countries cultures. It strengthened our commitment to continue to support their good work in south Haiti.
Their visit included much needed rest (although Jo, Belade’s wife was always cooking), and visits with friends and supporters and ministry presentations. They were blessed to be able to visit their 2 daughters, son in law and grandchild who are residing in the US at this time and were able to cross the border to Canada for a week long visit. What a blessing for them all! Thanks to the Bridges in Simcoe who made that possible. And many thanks to all others who helped and contributed to lodging, transportation, water, groceries, outings and financial needs. Couldn’t of done it without you.
We were able to bless Belade in celebrating his 59th birthday which happens to fall on the same day his 1st grandbaby was born!
Their trip here and home was hard as they had to take routes that avoided the gang violence in Haiti. Part of the trip included a 3 hour boat ride home. See video
Here is a text from Jo sent on WhatsApp after they left to go HOME to Haiti!
“Greetings to you in the name of the Lord! Let me tell you that you are a wonderful blessing from the Lord Jesus to us and Mephish! It was fully planned by Him! We love you a lot and in fact, love is patient and kind, love doesn’t envy and boast; it is not arrogant; or rude. It doesn’t insist on it’s own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it doesn’t rejoice at wrong doing, but rejoice with the truth. Love bears all things believe all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Guess what? I found all those in you. That means, we will rejoice together forever in the future time, just because love never ends. 1Cor. 13.
Those words are not enough to express my thankfulness to you, but I know the Lord will complete it for me and my family, then, it will be enough to complete my satisfaction of the reciprocity in your behalf! I have the same word for everyone here who was in my way in Canada like an angel setting by the Lord Himself!” Love Jo
I would like to end this post by thanking God for His grace and mercy and for allowing us to witness the power of prayer through our Haitian family. By thanking Him for His continued provision and helping us help them. It is a blessing to be a blessing!
